Lambton Jr. Sting Minor Peewee AAA move into 2nd place

The Lambton Junior Sting Minor PeeWee AAA picked up 2 more wins this past weekend and have now moved into 2nd place in the Western Conference with only 5 games left to play in the regular season.

 

On Saturday, the Sting would take on Chatham for the 2nd time in less than a week and would prevail by a final score of 4 – 0.  Dante Fuoco would lead the offence in this game with 1 goal and 1 assist, while Cameron Rombouts and Josh Vale would record 1 goal and 1 assist each.  Joe Correia would score 1 goal and Gage Langford would pick up 2 assists and Matthew Torti 1 assist.  Josh Bayne would pick up the shutout in goal.

 

On Sunday morning Lambton would be back on home ice to battle the Sun County Panthers.  The Sting would dominate the early play in this game and Lucas Knowles would score to give Lambton the 1 – 0 edge.  Sun County would counter before the end of the 1st period to tie the game at 1.  Lambton would score 2 2nd period goals by Joe Correia and Josh Vale and would play a strong defensive 3rd period to hold on for a final score of 3 – 1.  Jacob Knowles would record the win in goal.  Alec Trusler, Joey Ferrera, Lucas Knowles, Cameron Adam, Gage Langford and Theo Crombeen would all tally single assists.
