The Sarnia Lady Sting Bantam BB travelled to Dresden to take on the Kent County Fillies in recent Lower Lakes female Hockey League play.

Both teams appeared to be ready for the contest, as the game started with a quick pace and looked evenly matched. The score would remain 0-0 until the third period, when Sting forward Ashley Williams took the puck hard to the Fillies net creating a scoring chance which was tucked away by Avery Devereaux for a 1-0 lead.

The Sting would take a late penalty and find themselves defending 6 on 4 as Kent pulled their goalie.

Whitney Simpson would make several key saves to preserve the shutout and the win.

The Sting Team played a strong game from start to finish and gained a valuable 2 points from the Fillies splitting the season series.
