Led by Nicolas Hockings first Hat Trick of the Season the Point Edward Blackhawks answered a first shift goal by the Strathroy Rockets to charge back and take an early lead in what would prove to be a difficult game for the Hawks. 

Heading out on a season long road trip the Blackhawks took the first game 7-1 backstopped by some impressive goaltending by Owen Caley. Again the Score sheet was covered with assisted as the Hawks used teamwork and hustle to score on the hometown team. 

 “Performance Player of the Game” honours went to Owen Brown who the coaching staff thought was all over the ice skating wonderfully after the team had had a 3 week Christmas layoff. 

The Blackhawks continue the Road Trip next Saturday and Sunday in East Lambton and Strathroy as they battle through a tough stretch of scheduling!
