Blackhawks Go Back to Back Allowing Only One Goal!

Backstopped by Owen Brown the Point Edward Blackhawks allow one goal over a two game set on the weekend.

Saturday January 14th the Hawks were in Alvinston to face their rival East Lambton Eagles in the 2nd game of 5 straight on the road for the Hawks.  Showing no signs of jet or car leg the Blackhawks scored early and often finishing off the Eagles 12 to 1. Seven different goal scorers found their way onto the game sheet showing the coaching staff the team work they were looking for!  “Performance Player of the Game” Alex Simpson would net 2 goal and 1 assist however more importantly shown excellent back checking late in the game to help preserve the win.

Sunday January 15th the Point Edward Blackhawks traveled back to Strathroy to face the “Black Rockets” this time and the result was another win.  Posting his first career shutout Owen Brown turned all shots he faced aside to get back to back wins on the weekend.  In another offensive outburst the Hawks would cover the score sheet with goals and assists.  Six different players including Cameron McCarthy, Owen Caley, Ryan Cossa, Wil Vandenboom, Alex Simpson, and Ben Crombeen would score goals this game while every player on the ice was working hard to show the coaching staff good passing and teamwork!  “Performance Player of the Game” Ryan Cossa was on the score sheet for 2 goals and 1 assist.

The Blackhawks next face off against Parkhill in a battle of 1 vs. 2 in the OMHA Lambton-Middlesex Tyke West Division.
