Owen
Sound, On - The
Sarnia Sting were in
Owen Sound on
Saturday night to
take on the Attack
in Ontario Hockey
League and came up
with their first win
of the season with a
final score of 2 -
1.
Sarnia found
themselves down 1 -
0 after the first
period when Keevin
Cutting scored with
a 1:09 left in the
period. In the
second Charles
Sarault tied things
up on a shorthanded
goal. And
later in the period
on the power play
Connor Murphy scored
what turned out to
be the winning goal
assisted by Alex
Galchenyuk and Craig
Hottot who played in
his first season
game after sitting
out a three game
suspension.
J P Anderson went
the distance in net
turning away 28
shots and made
several key saves to
keep the Sting in
the game.
Ex-Sting netminder
Brandon Hope took
the loss making a
total of 40 saves.
Sarnia outshot Owen
Sound 42 - 29.
Sarnia went one for
four on the power
play, Owen Sound
went zero for four.
JP Anderson was
selected the first
star of the night,
Hope earned second
and Connor Murphy
earned the third
star.

Friday Oct 5 at the
RBC Center.
Game time at 7:05PM.
On Saturday they
travel to Sault Ste.
Marie and on
Thanksgiving Monday
they are in Windsor.
