There were a pair of Peewee Division games at Norm Perry Park Wednesday night.
In the opening contest the Fury defeated the Avengers 12-0. In the first half the Fury scored the only major when Ethan Kerby crossed the goal line on a 4 yard run up the middle. The game then turned into a defensive battle with big plays from both teams. With time running out Mark Bridge scored the second major for the Fury on a 15 yard scamper out of the gun..
The Storm maintained their perfect record in the nightcap, besting the Force 26-6. Marcus Cherski led the Storm with touchdown runs of 22 and 4 yards. Quarterback Hunter Hendrie connected on a 33 yard pass to Isaac Kidd for a majorand Cole Morrison galloped 106 yards to the end zone. Hendrie also passed to Kidd for a 1 point convert. Tyler Caron recovered a fumble for the Force to stop a menacing Storm drive in the first quarter. Jackson Smiley also came up big for the Force on defence, intercepting a pass in the end zone. On the ensuing drive he raced 72 yards for a touchdown.
