Jake Marks and Team Canada are now 3 - 1 at the U18 World Baseball Championships in Korea

Seoul, South Korea - Team Canada suffered their first loss to Chinese Taipei 6 - 5 on Sunday after allowing six unanswered runs, inlcuding a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth.

Canada was leading 5 - 0 through 4 innings with 2 runs in the second and third and a single in the 4th. Taipei scored two in the fifth, three in the eighth and the game winning run in the ninth.

Canada vs Czech Republic
On Monday Team Canada squeaked past the Czech Republic 3 - 2 to improve their record to 3 - 1 at the IBAF 18U World Championship.

Canada took a 1 run lead in the first period and the Czech's tied it up in the fifth.  Score remained the same until the seventh inning when Canada scored 2 runs to take a 3 - 1 lead.  Czech Republic added a single in the eighth and in the top of the ninth they didn't score giving Canada the 3 - 2 win.

Local Braves pitcher Jake Marks did not play in either of these games.

Canada will now face Panama on Tuesday to wrap-up their Group play where a win would guarantee a berth in the second round.  The game will begin at 6:00pm local time in Seoul, 5:00am in Canada.
