                           Sirois rolls week’s top ten pin triple

                Stephane Sirois rolled 718 (278-233) at Marcin Bowl in the Sunday Morning Men’s League to record the high triple in Sarnia and District 10-pin bowling league  action this week. He was chased by Mike Shephard 691 (250), Kyle Adamson 683 (259), Jim Creasor 666 (259), Mark Colbran 666 (236), Chad Zonneville 657, Terry Mundy 654, Andre Dion 269 – 109 pins over average, Pat McMillan 244, Bryan Perry 240 and Mario Gonzalez 237. Honourable mention to Nick Montague for bowling 200 – 73 pins over average. The men’s upper scores were Dave Jones 597 (234), Rob Vandermeer 579 (211), Joe Csercsics 579 (230), John Lynett 213, Bill Austin 210 and Ed Stevens 187.                 In Marcin Wednesday Night Mixed League activity, the men’s top scores were Gord Bayly 664 (277), Sandie Paine 591 (209) and Josh Kleinsmith 213. The women’s high scores were Cindy Carroll 526 (209), Louise LacHance 447 and Marion McLeod 421. 

                In Marcin Wednesday Night Ladies League action, leading scores were Laura Robertson 585 (208), Cori Landon 543 (192), Rosemary Bouchard 528 (206), Melissa Crowe 192 and Brooke Smiley 182.               Team standings are Smiley Girlz 29, C.J’s 29, Team Eight 26, Investors Group 25, PT Crushers 24, M.V.B’s 21, New Front 17 and Split Decision 14.

                In Marcin 1046 Mixed League fun, the ladies upper scores were Rachel McGrath 570 (202), Amada Guthrie 548 (206), Jill Avery 185, Blanche Chapman 185 and Dorothy Plain 179.  The men’s top scores were Brian Core 611 (204-203-204), Joe Borody 610 (211), Dave Willson 234, Jim Lester 225, John Hoekstra 211 and John Vandentop 175.

                In the Marcin SMAA Majors division, the ladies high scores were Rachel McGrath 535 (191), Jessica Tetreault 494 (a super 237), Carrie Plain 481 (170-172), Bryanne Vaillancourt 162 and Chelsea Vaillancourt 162. On the gent’s side, upper scores were Sheldon Hayward 551 (190), Andrew Cushing 544, Ben Walker 534 (201), Keegan Vaillancourt 531 (198), Brandon Edwards 199 and Ryan Kleinsmith 184.

                In the Marcin SMAA Juniors division, the girl’s best scores were Samantha Creasor 448 (165), Cara Cullis 394 (150), Gillian Webb 394 (172) and Kira Pelkie 150. The boy’s top score were Tyler Edwards 646 (265), Jacob Busby-McEachen 481 (166-166) and Collin Hanley 175.

                In the Marcin SMAA Preps division, the girl’s high scores were Caprice Hill 309 (120), Rachel Font-Young 301 (121), Taylar Rice 288 (106-104) and Hollie-Anne Jean 117. The boy’s noted scores were Jacob Bestard 379 (131), Patrick Cullis 286 (103), Jarod Pelkie 272 and Blake Lindman 102.

                In the Marcin SMAA Senior Bantams division, the girl’s top score was Paige Jean 223 (84). Ryan Gruben led the boys with 287 (101) followed by Jaden Gare’s 190 (73). The Junior Bantams high scores were Danica Bate 140 (72) and Brett Banninga 145 (77).

                In Marcin Thursday Night Mixed League play, the women’s leading scores were Pam Marciniszyn 657 (236), Janice McMillan 555 (234), Shirley Kelley 189 and Penny Geerts 189. The men’s upper scores were Lloyd Walling 664 (278), Shane Chipman 625 (231), John Kelley 246, Kevin Dunn 218, Adam Pinel 217 and Rob Whitsitt 214. On the gentlemen’s side, Greg Gray led the way with 640 (225) followed by Roger Williams 615 (238), Wilson Plain 220, Ted White 215 and Elgin George 211.

                In Marcin Ontario Hydro Mixed League action, the women’s notable scores were Marilyn Mullen 557 (199), Alyssa Taylor 511 (184), Barb Montgomery 218 and Kim Taylor 183. The men’s high scores were Marcel Lajoie 621 (213-214), Jay LeGay 583 (245), Bill Warner 220, Bob Laframboise 212, Ray Lucas 206 and Dave Urban 206.                 In Marcin St. Joe’s Mixed League play, the women’s high scores were Cori Landon 610 (223-233), Toni Verbeek 487 (194), Nicole McCabe 203 and Tammy Trowbridge 188. The men’s top scores were Joe Borody 562 (204), Mike Pevec 543 (209), Jerry Broody 194 and Albert Verbeek 194.

                In Marcin House Thursday Night Men’s League activity, leading scores were Kevin Herron 641 (226-220), Jean Lacroix Sr. 629 (252), Bill Cole 614, R. Charrington 245, J.G.
