Sarnia FC White U17 L3 squad entered The Heart Of York Tournament Classic and was entered into the U18 age division vs L3, and L4 teams in that region.

Sarnia came out strong earning a 1-1 draw with North York Cosmos. In the second game Sarnia FC defeated Huntsville All Stars 2-0. In the final game of the round robin stage Sarnia battled host Newmarket S.C U18 in what turned out to be a very tough battle. Sarnia FC created many great chances but just could not capitalize. Newmarket scored in the final minutes to earn the victory.

Sarnia FC still advanced to the semi final the next morning facing the first place team Woodbridge Strikers who finished undefeated in first place in the pool B side of the draw. Sarnia dominated from the opening kickoff scoring two great goals early on, that carried over into the second half where Sarnia would not let up and ended up burying  three more to earn a convincing 5-0 victory over a very talented Woodbridge side.

In the final Sarnia got their rematch wish versus host Newmarket once again which proved to be another tight contest. The game finished 0-0 after regulation and overtime leading to the all nerve racking penalty shootout. Sarnia scored all 5 of their shots while Mitch Humby denied Newmarkets fifth shooter to clinch the tournament title. Sarnia FC U17 earned the respect of Newmarkets Club Head Coach by playing great ball possession football and earning the title playing versus U18 York Region squads.

The coaches and parents were all so proud of the boys efforts and commitment to playing the game the right way and always carrying the confidence in believing in our systems. Great Job Sarnia FC White U17!
