Legionnaires Lost in First Exhibition

The Sarnia Legionnaires hosted the London Nationals in their first exhibition game and lost 5 - 1.  London went up 3 - 0 after the first period, both sides went scoreless in the second and in the third London added a pair and Sarnia added a single.  The lone goal for Sarnia was scored by Hunter Tyczynski assisted by Corey Giffel and Jay Clarke. 

Kyle Robinson scored two goals for London with singles by Keaton Ratcliffe, Mike Worby, Kyle Robinson and Dylan Salter.

Justin Fazio who recently signed with the Sarnia Sting got the start for the Legionnaires allowing 3 goals with 13 saves and midway in the second Pat Carney went in allowing 2 goals with 22 saves.

Sarnia had a total of five power play opportunities but didn't capitalize, London went one for one.

Others in the Legionnaires lineup included:

Sam McCormack, Tyler Prong, Mathew Minder Connor MiKinnon, Hayden Allen, Peter Cabala, Brett Podgerski, Brett Corrigan, Bobby King, Jordan Forgarty, Ryan Lyle, Nathan Mater, Riley Roberts and Robbie Letzgus.

The Legionnaires are on the road Saturday for their second home/home exhibition series against London.  Then on Sunday the team will travel to Chatham to face the Maroons and then back home on Wednesday August 28 hosting the Maroons. Game time 7:00 pm at the Sarnia Arena.
