Seven local students are members of University Football teams in Ontario.

Six former Northern Vikings participated in the opening day of OUA football at Windsor Alumni Field August 25 between Waterloo and Windsor.  Mike Nicholson, Randy Beardy, Brett Boersma are with the Windsor Lancers team and Paul Kaija, Kyle Ross and Alastair Coy with Waterloo Warriers.  On the opening day Windsor defeated Waterloo 78-11.

St. Christopher student Oren Bell is attending Laurier and a member of the Golden Hawks. Laurier lost to Guelph 21 - 7 in their opening in Guelph.
