Fourth Round Pick Signs OHL Agreement
Sarnia, On – Vice President of Operations Bill Abercrombie announced that the club has signed Justin Fazio to an Ontario Hockey League agreement and education package.
Fazio was the Sting’s 4th round pick (69th overall) in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection. He was the 4th goaltender overall selected.
Abercrombie is happy to have Fazio signed to an agreement.
“We are excited to have Justin and his family commit to the Sarnia Sting and the Ontario Hockey League. Justin is one of the top 97 born goaltenders in the province. We now have really good depth at the goaltender position with both our veteran goaltenders and now in our 96 and 97 born prospects.”
Fazio a Sarnia native is thrilled to have signed with the club he grew up watching.
“It’s a dream come true to first be drafted by the Sting and now to officially sign with them. I grew up following the Sting and in particular Sting goalies all my life and now to have a chance to one day play net for my hometown team it really is an honour. I know I have a lot of work to do but I will continue to work hard to develop into being a starting goalie in this league down the road.”
