Sarnia Braves Seniors Advances at OBA Eliminations

The Sarnia Braves Senior Men's team continue Sunday after going 2-1 in London at the Ontario Baseball Association Senior Men's Eliminations.

 

On Friday in their first game the Braves took a dismal 10 - 0 loss against Erindale.  On Saturday the Braves bounced back taking a 7 - 2 win overt Markham.  MaKenzie Maxwell earned the win going six innings allowing two runs, six hits and striking out one.  Justin Rand batted in three RBI's in the win.

 

Action continued on Saturday and in their third game the Braves defeated Vaughan 4 - 2.  Anthony Shepherd pitched for four innings striking out one, with no runs, three hits and one walk.  Mike Damchuck came in for the remainder allowing two runs, striking out three.  Damchuck also batted in two RBI's in the win.

 

The Braves advance to Sunday August 4 where they will take on the Windsor A's for 9 am start.  A win will give the team a bye for the afternoon and their next game would be at 8:15pm.
