Sarnia Legionnaires Stopped by Leamington

The Sarnia Legionnaires traveled to Leamington on Sunday night for game one of the home/home series and were shut out 3 - 0 in league action in the Jr. B Greater Ontario Hockey League.
Leamington scored 2 goals in the first period. Both sides went scoreless in the second and Leamington added their final in the third.
Nathan Opblinger led the Flyers scoring 2 goals and Blaine Bechard scored one.
Both sides were scoreless on two power play opportunities each.
Leamington outshout the Legionnaires 38 - 31. Jake Danson took the loss for the Legionnaires in net making 35 saves. Trevor Wheaton made 31 in the win.
In a tight standings race, the Legionnaires are tied for fifth spot with a record of 15-12-0 for 30 points. Chatham also has 30 points (14-10-2) with one game back. Strathroy is one point ahead in fourth spot with 31 points (14-10-3).
The Legionnaires will play on Tuesday this upcoming week with game two of the home/home series against Leamington on Dec 3, Game time 7:10 pm.
