In the final LSSAA Boys hockey games before the holiday break the LCCVI Lancers suffered their first loss of the season after a close game against the Northern Vikings that ended with a final score of 2 - 1.
In the first period LCCVI scored the only goal in the period on a power play by Brandon Li assisted by Hunter Bryce. Another single goal in the second this time by Northern on the power play evened the score. Liam Wright scored for the Vikings assisted by Dillon Saunders and Reid Wilcox. In the third Braedon Szusz scored the only goal in the period and game winner for Northern with Liam Wright and Max Steeves assisting.
Netminder Cole Lauzon earned the win for Northern, Cam MacAlpine took the loss.
In other Boys Hockey action on Wednesday, SCITS remained undefeated after taking a close 2 - 1 win over St. Pat's. Jake Romphf and Alec Segers scored for SCITS.
SCITS leads the standings race with a record of 5 - 0. LCCVI and Northern are tied for second with records of 3 - 1.
