Wallaceburg Lakers Down Dresden

The Wallaceburg Lakers downed Dresden Kings in a close game that ended with a final score of 3 - 2.
Both teams shared single goals in the first period with Dresden getting on board at 13:01 with Derek Daly scoring. :50 seconds later Wallaceburg answered back to even the score with Justin Lindsay scoring assisted by Frankie White and Lucais Meyskens.
After a scoreless second period Dresden took the lead when James Shelton scored a short handed goal at 5:54. And at 15:00 Justin Whitson evened things up scoring a power play goal with Ryan Gruszka and Scott Lubbers assisting. As the time was running down Whitson scored his second goal at 18:23 to give the Lakers the lead. Gruszka and Lubbers earned the assists. The Lakers held on to take the win.
Joel Sowinski earned the win for the Lakers in net turning away 37 of 39 shots. Jamie Morreau made 31 saves on 34 shots.
Wallceburg went one for six on power play opportunities and Dresden went scoreless on four chances.
The Lakers are now 5- 22 for the season.
