Chatham, On - In a game that had a playoff feel to it the 8th place Lambton Shores Predators defeated the Western Conference leaders by a score of 3 - 2 in overtime.
Chatham scored the first goal at 5:01 with Brennan Feasey scoring. Lambton Shores answered back at 5:50 on a power play with Cale Dueberry scoring assisted by Kyle Brothers and Ferdinando Colella assisting. Second power play goal of the game at 16:21 gave Chatham the 2 - 1 lead heading into the second period. Feasey scored his second of the night for Chatham.
In the second period Captain Adam Arseneault tied things up with Ryan Rotandi and Ferdinando Colella assisting at 14:05. Action continued and the two sides were even 2 - 2 heading into the third where neither side scored that sent the game into overtime.
In overtime, Adam Arseneault scored his second goal of the night at 2:36 to give the Predators the win. Brett Thompson assisted on the winning goal.
Outstanding game by Predators goalie Brandon Campbell as the Lambton Shores was outshot 41-25 and Campbell stopped 39 in the win. Darien Ekblad took the loss with 22 saves.
Eighth place Lambton Shores (15-17-4) are now two points behind Sarnia (15-14-6) with two games back.
The Predators will travel to Leamington to go up against the number two team in the conference on Thursday Jan 17 and are back at home on Sat January 19 when they host six place St. Thomas Stars.
