Sarnia FC U10 Earned Road Win in Petrolia

saturday july 6, 2013

The Sarnia FC U 10 Red Machine headed down to Petrolia for LKDYSL action last week. The boys were excited to almost have a full team this week, with only one player out sick. The boys came to play and that was evident in the first 5 minutes of the game when Jacob Drapotoy would net the first goal of the game off a feed from Matthew Gouveia.  FC Red  controlled the game with terrific passing and strong defence by Jacob Beaudoin, Branyn Cooper, Matteus Hartmann , Alex Weir and Wyatt Ladanchuk. Quick feet and persistent forward play by Jacob Drapotoy, Eric Larocque and Jordan Foster, while the defence and forwards were well supported throughout by strong midfield play from Matthew Gouveia and Janzen Wark.

The Red Machine would score their second goal of the game after Jordan Foster pounded one into the net after working hard to move the ball forward. Honourable mentions to the following players for some striking shots during the game that would miss the net by mere inches: Jacob Beaudoin, Eric Larocque and Matthew Gouveia. The boys supported each other well and covered multiple positions on the road to this 2-0 victory.

A big shout out to the stellar play of FC keeper Jeremy MacMillan who earned the shut out and made some fantastic saves and intelligent plays to support his team in this well earned, on the road win. Well done FCRed.
