The Sarnia Braves Men's hosted Troy Jet Box on Sunday for a double header in Can Am League action at Errol Russell Park and the two teams each shared a win.
In game one Troy Jet Box took a 2 - 0 win. Troy scored singles in the fourth and fifth innings. The Braves had five hits in the game with Greg Kemble hitting three singles and James Grant and Randy Thingstad each got on base with singles.
Nick Baljeau pitched five innings allowing three hits, three walks and two runs. Baljeau had three strikeouts. Justin Stephenson came in for the final two innings allowing one hit, two walks.
In the second game of the day Sarnia regrouped and edged out Troy Jet Box 10 - 9. Sarnia took a 4 - 1 lead in the first inning. In the second Troy added a single and in the third inning batted in five runs to take a 7 - 4 lead. In the fifth inning Sarnia brought in four runs to regain the lead. Top of the sixth Troy scored two runs to take a 9 - 8 lead, but Sarnia answered back in the bottom half with two runs and held the Jets in the top of the seventh and held on to the win.
Sarnia had a total of 9 hits with James Grant and Randy Thingstad each hitting a single and double. Alex McLean hit two singles, Josh Tayler hit a double and Charlie Stubbs, Keegan Brandon both got on base with singles.
Matt Liberty pitched for five innings allowing seven runs, six hits, walking three and two strikeouts. McKenzie Maxwell came in to finish for one inning allowing two runs and four hits.
