All three Sarnia Sturgeon Football teams were in action on Sunday hosting the Brantford Bisons in Ontario Varsity Football Conference.

 

In the first game of the day the Sarnia Peewee dropped a 49 - 18 decision to Brantford.  Jackson Smiley scored two touchdowns in the game and Ethan Kirby scored a single.

 

The Peewee Sturgeon 0 - 6 for the season and look for their first win when they host Burlington on Sunday July 7 at Norm Perry Park.  Kickoff is set for 2:00 pm.

 

 

The Bantams lost to Brantford who are currently in second place by a score of 40 - 7.  Jamie Campbell scored the touchdown for the Sturgeon and Bennett Vani kicked in the extra point.

 

The Sarnia Bantams are in fourth place with a record of 3 - 2.  They will travel to Chatham on Sunday July 7.

 

 

For the final game of the day the Junior Varsity team were edged out by Brantford losing by a close score of 8 - 7.  Jordan Walsh scored Sarnia's touchdown and Blake Maxfield kicked in the convert for the extra point.  A single Rouge point was awarded to the Bisons that gave them the win.
