It has been a busy week for the Sarnia Braves Rookie Select Squad, but a very successful one!

Thursday July 11th the Squad took on The Corunna Giants #2.  The team jumped out to an early lead, never looking back on route to a 16 - 7 win.  Player of the game was Kasha Cook for her hustle on the bases and great fielding in the outfield.  Great Games were also had by Bryce Watson, who was a vacuum cleaner at First Base, Brady Hutton who wasn't beatable at second base, and by Jason Lajeunesse Jr who, from the Lead off position went 4-4 with 4 runs scored.

Saturday July 13th the Team faced the Port Lambton Pirates #2, and came away with a hard fought 10-4 victory.  Player of the game was Aiden Mullins.

Monday July 15th, the squad made the trip to Blenheim, and cruised a 20-3 victory.  Player of the game honours went to Layton Meyer going 3-4 with a couple of singles and a double.

This Saturday July 20th, 2013 at 10am, the Sarnia Braves Rookie Select Team will be hosting the "Sarnia Braves Rookie Select Invitational" at Clearwater Arena.  Games will run from 10am until about 4pm.  There will be a fundraising BBQ at 1pm to help support the Sarnia Braves Organization.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

Championship games will get underway after the BBQ at around 2:30pm.
