Sarnia Midget Pacers Captured Third Tournament Title

The Sarnia Sentry Fire Pacers captured it's third tournament of the season this past weekend in Cornwall. 


The Pacers opened up with a 5-3 win over host Cornwall. 

 

Scoring for Pacers were Cory Burr 3 goals, 1 assist, Kevin Durco and Brett Barnes added singles.  Korey Conroy, Colton Mcgugan, and Alex Mayhead each chipped in assists. Brayden Bell went distance in net.


Next up for Pacers was Six Nations, Pacers came away with a 12-3 win.  Scoring by Reece Seguin & Blain Adams with 2 goals, 2 assists.

Jack Dunn and Cally Doughty scored 1 goal, 2 assists each and Cory Burr, Kevin Durco, Alex Mayhead, Dawson Vautour, and Bert Thorpe scored singles and 1 assist.  Matt Stevens scored a single, Korey Conroy assisted on 3 goals, Kris Seed assisted twice and Jacob Cauglin and Brett Barnes had single assists.  Danny Kingma starred in net

 

Pacers met Brampton for a late Saturday night game and  Brayden Bell and Danny Kingma shared the shutout 12-0.   Cory Burr led the Pacers with 3 goals a 1 assist.  Jacob Caughlin scored 3, Korey Conroy scored 2 with 2 assists.  Logan Scott scored 1 with 2 assists. Stevens, Mcgugan and Doughty each scored single goals.  Assisting on goals were Blain Adams with 3,  Mayhead, Barnes, Durco, Dunn & Sequin each assisted on 2 goals.


 

In semi-finals the Pacers met Milton resulting in a 4-1 win. Brayden Bell got the win.

 

Scoring against Milton were Cory Burr with a goal and a assist.  Korey Conroy, Brett Barnes, Alex Mayhead each scored singles.  Blain Adams and Cally Doughty each earned a point with assists.


 

The Midget Pacers matched up against Akwesasne in the championship game. Winning 5-3, with Kris Seed, his first of the year, getting game winning goal.


Other scorers were Kyle Vince, Korey Conroy, Brett Barnes, Callahan Doughty. Burr, Thorpe  and Mayhead with 2 assists. Brayden Bell chipped in with an assist.  Bell got the win in goal.


 

This championship, goes along with titles from Milton, and Sarnia and currently the Pacers have a 22-4-1 record.
