Local Players Capture Three Titles at Little Caesar's Tennis Tour Sarnia Stop

Sarnia was well represented at the third stop on the 2013 Little Caesar's Junior Tennis Tour held at the Sarnia Riding Club on July 13th. Sarnia players advanced to the finals in all 5 events and captured 3 titles.

Sarnian Andrew Davies repeated his performances from the first 2 stops in Amhertsburg and Chatham, capturing the 14-and-under boys title, with an 8-4 win over Josh Ashby of Chatham in the final. Nick Sproviero and Jaxon Bore, also of Sarnia, won the 18-and-under and 10-and-under boys titles with wins over Vlad Pak of London (8-4) and Evan Duggal of Sarnia (8-3) , respectively.

Other event finalists from Sarnia included Catherine Rastin who lost to Pukhraj Gill of London (8-6) in the girls 18-and-under and Elise McInnes who was runner-up to Ava Skuse of London (8-6) in the girls 14-and-under.

Other Sarnia participants included Colin Osler (3rd, boys 18s), Riley Bore (3rd, boys 14s), Chris Latosinsky (3rd, boys 10s), Priyank Patel (4th, boys 18s), Victoria Dabanovich (4th, girls 14s), Ryan Davies (4th, boys 10s), Clara Rastin (5th, girls 18s), Ethan Jones (5th, boys 14s), Conor Jones and Luca Pasqualucci (5th, boys 10s), Raj Dighe (7th, boys 18s) and Chandler Haagsma (7th, boys 14s).

The Sarnia stop on the Tour was generously sponsored by the Sarnia Riding Club, Tim Horton's (Colborne Road) and Little Caesar's (Sarnia). The 2013 Tour makes its final stop on July 27th in London (John Hatch Tennis Centre). All of the Little Caesar's tournaments are one-day events. Players earn points at each event towards an overall season championship.
