Sarnia Braves lost in Extra Innings to the Windsor Selects

In Can Am Senior Men's league action the Sarnia Braves traveled to Windsor Tuesday night and lost 6 - 5 in extra innings to the Windsor Selects.
 

The Selects scored their first run in the first inning and added three more in the fourth.  The Braves came back and scored two runs in the six and tied the game with two runs in the seventh.  With both teams tied 4 - 4 after seven innings the Braves scored one in the top of the ninth.  The Selects came back and scored two runs in the bottom half of the ninth to take the win.


On the mound Nick Baljeu pitched eight innings striking out seven, allowing four runs, five hits and walked one.  Anthony Shepherd started the ninth inning striking out one, allowing one hit and one walk.  Wade Babula came in to finish with one strike out, two runs and walked three.


The Braves had a total of eight hits and one error.  The Selects had six hits and three errors.

 

Charlie Stubbs batted a double and single.  Jeff Randall and Greg Kemble both hit doubles and Wad Babula, Mike Damchuk, Keegan Brandon and Alex McLean all hit singles.

 

The Braves are back in action on Sunday June 9th with they host the Windsor Stars for a double header starting at 1:00 pm at Errol Russell Park.
