Sarnia Beavers lost the Battle Against the Brooklin Merchants

The Sarnia Beavers were on the road on Saturday and took a disappointing 10 - 9  loss against the Brooklin Merchants in Ontario Senior B Lacrosse action.

 

Brooklin took a 3 - 2 lead after the first period of play and held on to the single goal lead as both teams scored four in the second and three in the third.

 

Jim Purves led the Beavers scoring three goals.  Jesse Thompson, Lance Ross, Colin McDowall, Brian Quinn, Brad Holbrough and Ryan Charteris each scored singles.

 

Grant Crawley took the loss in net,  Jason Armstrong earned the win for the Merchants.

 

The Beavers are now 5 - 10 - 0 for the season with one regular league game remaining.  Their final game is in Owen Sound on Saturday June 29.

 

The Beavers are currently sitting in fifth spot with a total of ten points.  Owen Sound is in sixth with five games back with eight points.  Oakville is in last place with six points and three games back.
