Battle of London in the Final Peewee Championship Game of March Break Tourney

SSE B6 Wild Warriors



In the Peewee Division final it was the battle of London as the SSE B6  Wild Warriors took top spot in the A Group going 3 - 0 - 1 for a total of 7 points.  In the B group the SSE Wild Dogs went undefeated going 4 - 0 in round robin to take top spot in the B Group.


In a thrilling final game the Wild Warriors came out to take the Championship by edging out the Wild Dogs with a final score of 4 - 3.


The Warriors scored the first goal of the game wi J. Smith scoring assisted by J Whalls.  The Wild Dogs answered back with 3:43 remaining in the period to even the score.  J D Ellison scored the first goal for the Wild Dogs assisted by Drake Frechette and Mason Holland. 


In the second period the Wild Dogs took the lead fro the first time when Thomas Tserotas scored a power play goal assisted by Connor Petley.  The Warriors fought back and scored their second goal on a power play with J. Smith scoring his second goal assisted by J. Whalls and J. Townsley.  With 1:43 remaining in the second period the Warriors regained the lead with J Whalls scoring from P Day and J Smith.


In the third the Wild Dogs came back and tied the game when Mason Holland scored an unassisted goal.  Action continued and with three minutes left the Warriors scored their second power play goal of the game to take the lead.  P. Day scored the eventual game winner assisted by J Whalls.  The Wild Dogs pulled their goalie for the extra man but the Wild Warriors held on to take the win.


Outstanding goaltending in both ends by A. Erickson for Wild Warriors and Nathan Dunmore for the Wild Dogs.
