Point Edward Pacers Dropped Second Loss in Niagara

Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON:- The Point Edward Jr B Pacers suffered their second loss in the early lacrosse season after losing to Niagara 12 - 4 Saturday. 

After the first period both sides were even with 2 each but in the second Niagara pulled ahead scoring 7 goals with Point Edward scoring a single on the power play.  In the final period Niagara added 3 more goals, Sarnia scored 1 with their second power play goal.

Kevin Conroy led the Pacers scoring 2 goals, Dan Charlton and Conner Smith topped off the total with singles.

Austin Wright, Derek Merza and Tom Scanlon were the goal scoring leaders for Niagara each with two and singles by David Evert, Robert McMicking, Cam Luis, Joe Ditto and Marvin Curry.

Point Edward went two for eight in power play opportunities, Niagara went two for five.

Wyatt Fauzey earned the win in net for Niagara, Ian Ferguson and Reece Vanderyou shared in the loss for the Pacers.

The Pacers are back on the road Wednesday when they travel to London for their second meeting of the season.   The Pacers are now 0 - 2.
