Vision Hockey 2002 are Champions at Glacier Pointe Spring Hockey Showcase

Vision Hockey 2002 (Peewee A)
Sarnia's Vision Hockey 2002 team (Peewee A) competed at the Glacier Pointe Spring Hockey showcase tournament and defeated local Spring team called Hackett 3 on 3 by a score of 4 - 2 to bring home the Championship Cup.
Vision Hockey took a 1 - 0 lead with less than a minute remaining in the first on a goal scored by Ryan Janssens assisted by Jimmy Simpson.
In the second the Hackett 3 on 3 pulled ahead scoring 2 unanswered goals with Carter Barron and Daniel Gibson scoring to take a 2 - 1. Third period action saw tie things up for Vision Hockey Hunter Seqin with Jackson Cole assisting. Less than a minute later Ryan Janssens scored his second of the game and what turned out to be the game winner. Final goal was scored by Tate Bowden assisted by Connor Madill. Vision Hockey held off the Hacket 3 on 3 attack to the end and took the win with a final score of 4 - 2.
In the three game round robin leading up to the final game Vision Hockey tied Hackett 3 on 3 in the first game by a score of 7 - 7. Game two Vision Hockey took a 6 - 4 win over the St. Clair Shores Saints and in the third game they shut out Royal Oak 13 - 0.
Jessie McPherson and Luke Crombeen shared the goaltending duties for the 2002 Vision Hockey team.
In other Vision Hockey action:
The 2006 (Mite A) team went 1 - 3 in tournament play. With just three teams in this division each team played each team twice. They went up against the Bluewater Sharks and lost the first game 3 - 0 and the second 3 - 1. Their other opponent was the Southwest Jets and they dropped a 3 - 1 decision in the first and won 3 - 0 in the second.
Sarnia Vision 2001 team (Peewee AA) went 2 - 1 in round robin after taking a 8 - 7 win over Plymouth and 6 - 1 win over Port Huron and losing to Macomb Mavericks 5 - 2. The team moved on to the semi finals and were eliminated after taking a 6 - 0 loss against the Chiefs.
All Vision Hockey teams are traveling to Stratford to compete in the Hockey Highlites Tournament this weekend (May 10-12) and all teams will be competing locally at the Bluewater Sharks Tournament.

Vision Hockey was founded in 2011 by Sarnia Resident and former Sarnia Sting and pro player Aaron Brand. In their first year they started off with one team and two years later Vision Hockey grew and they now support five teams that include birth years 2001 (two teams White & Black), 2002, 2003 and 2006.
