Time Ran Out for the Jr B Pacer's in Windsor

The Point Edwards Jr B Pacers Lacrosse team were in Windsor Wednesday and took a disappointing 7 - 6 loss.

 

Point Edward opened the scoring in the first period with Connor Wright scoring the first goal at 3:35 followed by Dan Charlton power play goal at 4:10.  Windsor went on and scored 4 goals, with three being scored on power plays.  Jeff Vivait scored two both on the power plays, Trevor Learn and Lucas Ducharme (PP) also scored in the first.

 

In the second period both sides shared two back and forth goals leaving Windsor with a two goal lead after two period. TJ Mara scored a power play goal and Dan Charlton netted the second for the Pacers.  Logan Holmes and Ryan Marchand scored for Windsor.

 

In the third Windsor took a 7 - 4 lead after scoring a power play goal by Bryan Laroque.  The Pacers continued to fight back and Dan Charlton scored back to back goals to narrow the Windsor lead at one but time ran out for the Pacers and they recorded their fifth loss of the season.

 

"The Players are coming together." new head coach Jim Bell said.  "We've had four practices and three games. It's a work in progress." 

 

The Pacers are in action on Saturday for game sixth consecutive road game and look for their first win in Brampton against the Excelsiors.
 

"Changing or undoing the past will take time and effort.  They are still on short end of scores, but they see a light." said Bell

 

The Pacers first home game is set for Wednesday May 22 at the Point Edward Arena starting at 8:00 pm.
