thursday may 30, 2013

The Point Edward Pacers earned their second win over the London Blue Devils by a score of 7 - 5 in Jr B Lacrosse league action.

Due to dangerous slippery floor conditions the referees called the came after two periods.

"The players played hard." said Coach Jim Bell  "Up 4-2 after one, we're down 5-4, battled back 7-5 end of two."

London scored the first two goals by Brady Doxtator and Kingsley Doxtator (PP).  Point Edward came back scoring three consecutive power play goals by TJ Mara, Dan Charlton and Connor Smith and Liam Wright scored the fourth.

In the second London fought back and took a one goal lead with Ron Elijah-Brown, Dan Formes and Mackenzie Wilkinson (PP) scoring for London.  TJ Mara evened the score on a power play after scoring a shorthanded goal.  Charlton scored what turned out to be the game winner and late in the period Kevin Conroy scored the final.

Ian Ferguson earned the win for the Pacers in net.

"The boys played so hard, and are having a blast. We are improving, developing and coming together as a team." Bell said

On Friday May 31 the Pacers will host Elora.  Game time 8:00 pm at the Point Edward Arena.
