Lambton Shores Predators Announce Coaching Change

friday November 1, 2013

FOREST, ONT -- The Lambton Shores Predators Junior B Hockey Club has announced Head Coach Dave Warren has been relieved of his duties effective immediately.

"The team performance was not where we expected it to be this season and the organization needed a change," Roop Chanderdat, Lambton Shores Predators Owner, President, and General Manager said.  "Dave brought a lot of expertise to the Preds organization.  We wish him all the best in his future in junior hockey."

It was also announced that current Associate Coach Don Dickson will serve in the role of Interim Head Coach.  A further coaching staff addition is expected to be announced.

Dickson, 43, works in London as a member of the London Fire Service as well as serving as a Scout for the Windsor Spitfires of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).  A 106th overall draft pick of Kingston of the OHL, Dickson played five years of Junior Hockey including a year of Junior A with Smith Falls.  He also won a Junior B Championship with the Sarnia and also had two league final appearances.

Prior to his role with the Lambton Shores Predators, Dickson coached for seven seasons with the London Junior Knights AAA program.

Dickson lives in London with his wife Christine and three children.
