Sarnia Jr. Sting Novice MD Tier 1 Lost at Home

tuesday october 8, 2013

The Sarnia Jr. Sting Novice MD Tier 1 resumed their league play this past weekend with an uninspired effort.  The Sting lost two home games to Oakridge and Stratford.

The Saturday game saw solid goaltending from Carter La Rocque.  The Sting were only able to produce 1 goal from Isaac Oliphant with assists going to Tanner Winegard and Trent Loxton in a 2 – 1 loss.  Hardest worker of the game awards went to Ryan Vidler and Oliphant.

Sunday had the Sting tied 0 – 0 entering the third before the dam burst, surrendering 5 goals in the third, one being an empty net goal, in a 5 – 0 defeat.

The Sting look to regroup as they head to Halton Hills for a tournament this Thanksgiving Weekend.
