Wednesday, Oct. 9th, 2013

The Vikings sent an early message when quarterback Keyshaun Jordan took the game's opening snap 60 yards for a touchdown. Jordan's extra point was good. The Vikings defence then stopped a long Lancers' drive and got the ball back on downs, deep in their own end. A couple of plays later, Jordan kept the ball and scrambled for a 30 yard run behind some great blocking. Jordan then connected a 20 yard pass to Greg Bressette, who ran the ball the rest of the way, into the endzone for a major. Jordan kicked the extra point. The Vikings were up 14-0. The Vikings took charge again after a tipped pass and interception by Aaran Pollock and Aden Alkinani to end the quarter.

After a big gain on a broken play, the Vikings finished their first drive of the second quarter with a laser-like pass from Jordan to Bressette for the Vikings' third major. The extra point attempt was blocked. With 3:23 left in the first half, Andrew Bradshaw took a handoff and scrambled 20 yards for a Vikings' major. Jordan made good on the extra point. The first half finished with the Vikings ahead, 27-0.

The Lancers capped a long drive with a touchdown at 4:31 of the third quarter, and added the extra point.

The Lancers scored again on a quarterback keeper, to open the 4th quarter. The extra point attempt was short. The Vikings responded at a couple of minutes later when Zach Doxilly broke two tackles on his way to the endzone. Jordan added the extra point. The Vikings' were forced to punt on their next possession, but tackled the Lancers' player in the endzone for a safety. The Lancers added a major at 5:37 and kicked the extra point, making the score Vikings 35, Lancers 20. Nick Day then returned the Lancers kickoff 40 yards, and a few plays later, Jordan kept the ball, sprinted 45 yards into the endzone, and then added the extra point. The Lancers scored another major in the game's closing seconds, and ran the ball in on a broken play for two more points.

The final score was Vikings 41, Lancers 28.
