Lambton Lions Women's Soccer Eliminated at Qualifier in Oakville

The Lambton College Women's soccer team were eliminated on Saturday by Sheridan College in the OCAA Qualifying round by a score of 3 - 1.
 

Scoring the single for Lambton and her first goal of the season was Deirdre Bradd from Bright's Grove.

 

Leading up to Saturday's game the Lambton Lions Woman's team finished in sixth place in the West Division (4-3-1)  Their opponent Sheridan College was third in the East Division (5-3-1).  The last time these two teams met was on September 15 with Lambton defeating Sheridan 2 - 1.  Sheridan will move on to the quarter-final round on October 19 against Algonquin (2 East)

 

In other qualifying matches St. Lawrence (3 East) defeated La Cite (6 East) with a final score of 3 - 1.  St. Lawrence will meet Fanshawe (2 West)in the quarter-finals.  Mohawk (5 West) edged out Conestoga (4 West) 1 - 0 in overtime and will now move on to face the West Division leaders Humber College. In the final pairing another 1 - 0 OT win decided the game with Cambrian College (5 East) defeating Durham (4 East).  Cambrian will now face the East Division champion Seneca College.
