Sarnia FC Red U 10 squad celebrated this summer's soccer season with a winning record, the best finish of Sarnia based teams and a trip to the championship game. The U10 squad worked diligently all season long. The boys came to every practice ready to work hard and have fun. The team's motto for the season was to play with heart and play with effort .
That effort paid off as the boys steadily improved throughout the season. Their final tournament saw them advance to the playoffs against very tough Toronto area teams. Their semi-final game against Sarnia rivals U10 white was their best game of the season and their 7-2 victory earned them a spot in the championships. The Red Machine would head to Chatham for the finals to face the Attack U10 team.
FC Red and the Attack traded victories when they met in league play, so the game was destined to be epic. It certainly wouldn't disappoint. In a hard fought battle for the trophy the Red Machine left everything Blood, Sweat and tears on the field as they would come up just short of a victory. All members of the team gave everything they had, full effort and full heart. The coaches and parents are so proud of these boys who worked hard all season and competed as sportsmen and team mates who gave their all, all season long. They are champions in their coaches eyes and can hold their heads up high as 2nd place league finalists in the Lambton Kent District Youth Soccer League.
Congratulations to team members of the Sarnia FC U 10 Red Squad:
Matthew Gouveia, Jacob Drapotoy, Matteus Hartmann, Eric Larocque, Ewan Morrisson, Jacob Beaudoin, Wyatt Ladanchuk, Brannyn Cooper, Jordan Foster, Alex Weir, Janzen Wark and Jeremy MacMillan.
