Sarnia Sting Welcomes 16 New Prospects

After announcing that 6’2” defenseman Jakob Chychrun would be the first overall pick in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection Friday morning, the Sarnia Sting made the selection official Saturday to open the Draft. Throughout the 15 round event, Sarnia welcomed 16 new prospects to the organization.

Head Scout/ Director of Player Personnel, Nick Sinclair comments on today’s selections. “We are very excited as a staff to have accomplished and acquired the players that we have today. We had a game plan coming into today and were able to draft a significant number of players that we had in the upper echelon of our list. We feel that we have addressed a number of needs within our organization; not only have we been able to acquire some very high end skilled talent, but we have also addressed adding character individuals and highly competitive athletes to our organization.”
