The Point Edward Jr. B Pacers lacrosse team competed in a pre-season tournament on Sarnia in Six Nations and went 0-2-1.
"We used this weekend as a measuring stick not only using score to determine anything." Head Coach Jim Bell said "We developed some of our younger kids, and seen some vets intermix with rookies. We used this tournament for developmental purposes, others used it's a showcase."
In game one the Pacers took a 10 - 3 loss against Windsor who had a strong line-up. Jack Dunn, Dan Charlton and Connor Smith scored for the Pacers with assists by Kevin Conroy (2), Derek Hastings and Ryan Devine.
In the second game the Pacers tied Kahnawake 8 - 8. Dan Charlton led the Pacers with 2 goals. Brandan Burr and Derek Hastings each earned 3 points in the game scoring a single and assisting on 2. Ryan Devine and Jack Dunn each scored 1 and assisted on 1. Colton McGugan and Jacob Caughlin each scored a single and Raleigh Taylor earned 2 points with 2 assists.
In the final game of the day the Pacers were outscored by Six Nations 15 - 1. Kevin Conroy from Trevor Hiseler and Connor Smith scored the lone goal.
The Pacers training continues as they get set for their home/season opener on Sunday April 27 beginning at 2:00 pm at the Point Edward Arena.
