Sarnia Legionnaires Lost in London

wednesday december 3, 2014

The Legionnaires dropped a 7 - 2 decision in London on Wednesday night against the Nationals.

London scored 3 in the first period and 4 in the second and Sarnia scored their goals in the third by Cody Trowell and Davis Boyer.

Scoring for London were Murray Justin, Kevin Madden, Brent House, Andrew Kim, Matt Bean, Colin Wilson and Drew Worrad.

Sarnia outshot London 43 - 34.

Hunter Johnson made 27 saves for Sarnia and Justin Tugwell made 40 saves for London.

Both sides went scoreless on the power play.  Sarnia had four opportunities, London had six.

The Legionnaires are at home tonight (Thursday December 4th) for a second meeting with Chatham.  Chatham will be looking for a win as they suffered a 6 - 5 loss last Thursday in Sarnia.

Legionnaires remind fans to bring their "woolys" to tonight's game. When the Legionnaires score their first goal, toss your hats, mittens, sweaters etc onto  the ice and they will be collected and distributed to various charities within the city for distribution.

Please place your "wooly" in a plastic bag prior to tossing.

The Cadets will be there prior to game, selling various knitted products in case you forget to bring something and would like to purchase.
