As a group, were very happy for Tony; its the first step in achieving his goal of becoming a National Hockey League player. He has gotten better for us each year, and its nice to see him get rewarded, comments Assistant Coach, Andy Delmore.

Its been a busy week for DeAngelo, winning 5 straight with the Sting, capturing the OHL lead in points by a defenceman, being invited to USA Hockeys WJC camp, and now signing his first professional contract.

DeAngelo comments, Its an exciting week for both me and my family. Its an honor to be selected by Team USA, and a big moment, signing my first pro contract. Id like to thank my coaches and the entire Sarnia Sting Organization for their support over the last 4 years.
