Romanik, Ladenchuk, McGrath, Pelkie And Crowe Highlight Action On The Lanes

Bowling Scores for Week of Dec 6

 shared the spot light in Lambton County Tenpin Association bowling action this past week at Marcin Bowl. 

         Romanik tossed 300 in the Sunday Morning Men’s League to record his career first perfect game. He achieved the accomplishment on lanes 23 & 24 in his last game ending the day with 716 (236).

         Ladenchuk fired 770 (257-279- 96 pins over average -234 – 221 pins over for three games) on lanes 25 & 26 in the Bluewater Monday Night Men’s League to record the week’s high triple.

          Rachel McGrath wheeled 704 (277 – 92 pins over average – 212-215 – 150 pins over average for three games) in the LCTA Youth Doubles Handicap Tournament to record the high scratch score.

         Kira Pelkie and Dalton Crowe won the LCTA Youth Doubles Handicap Tournament with a score of 1627 edging out the second place team by 5 pins.   

   The LCTA Youth Doubles Handicap Tournament was held on November 22 -23 at Marcin Bowl with 41 teams participating. Topping off the top ten teams were Andi Goodall/Delaney Brooks 1622, Cam Parkkila/Kole Parkkila 1621, Kyra Lester/Brett Zevenbergen 1602, Cam Parkkila/Braden Scott 1594, Tyler Winger/William LaFramboise 1575, Brady Long/Bryce Long 1572, Lucas Pawley/Kane Matthews 1563, Rachel McGrath/Quincy VanEkeren 1557 and Joey Windover/Kole Parkkila 1553. The top six scratch teams were Rachel McGrath/Quincy VanEkeren 1224, Ben Lapointe/Alex Pak 1165, Kira Pelkie/Dalton Crowe 1135, Kyra Lester/Brett Zevenbergen 1092, Noah Best/Ben Lapointe 989 and Joshua Trott/Mikayla Durley 984. Rounding out the top ten scratch triples were Brett Zevenbergen 640 (203-267 – 110 pins over average – 169 pins over for three games), Ben Lapointe 584 (247-202), Dalton Crowe 582 (249 – 86 pins over average), Alex Pak 581 (225), Joshua Trott 573, Kira Pelkie 553 (205), Morgan Pelkie 549 (214-211), Ethan Boucher 547 (139 pins over for three games) and Domenic Cocozzoli 536. Additional games over 200 were Noah Best 206, Rachel McGrath 204, Quincy VanEkeren 201 and Lucas Pawley 201 – 70 pins over average. 

         Jordan Cote rolled 747 (243-279 – 81 pins over average – 153 pins over average for three games) in Marcin Sunday Morning Men’s League competition. He was followed by Butch Wilson 716 (246-251), Kyle Adamson 701 (254-247), George Reid 687 (279), Ron Gagnon 686 (258),  Ralph MacDuff 685 (270), Mel Matthews 678 (289 – 110 pins over average), Nathan Gonzalez 677 (257- 80 pins over average), Bill Ridealgh 667 (255), Jeff Raymond 650 (233), Jason Lapointe 254, Doug Black 247, Calvin Nesbitt 246, Mike Marciniszyn 245-236, George Rogers 244, Rob Lariviere 238, Larry Plumb 236, Tom Stokes 235, Dave Jones 233 and Steve Peters 230.        In Marcin Sarnia Reserve Mixed League flurry, the women’s top scores were Cid Bearhart 622 (267 – 96 pins above average), Jo Ellen Beveridge 519 (191) and Connie Milliken 171. The gentlemen’s high scores were Bill Smith 664 (224-248 – 77 pins above average - 151 pins above average for three games), Brad George 598 (231), Darren Adams 577 (256 – 79 pins above average), Angie Delassandro 542 (213) and Marty Davidson 520 (189-198 – 77 pins above average – 157 pins above average for three games).

       In Hi-Way Target Trios Mixed League play, the men were led by Neil Sinclair 662 (213-213-247) and Dan Beauvais 241. The ladies’ notable scores were Tonie Verbeek 552 and Sue Potvin 201.        In Marcin Sunday Morning Ladies League fun, top scores were Brenda Dennis 498 (176), Deb Jones 473 and Joy Timington 468 (173). Team standings are Alley-Oops 35, Strikers 32, We’ve Been Framed 27, Banana Splitz 25, Pairs And Spare 24 and Head Pins 14.

       In Airey Lanes Thursday Ladies Happy Hour League action, the best scores were Ada Brown 471 (167), Courtney Young 443, Karen Corr 431 (182), Adwina Whitsitt 172 and Luisa Sharpe 167. Team standings are Donkey Kong’s 77, Lamb Chops 70, “Hot” Dog 69, Cow Patti’s 60, Rocking Horse 60 and Ditch Pig 48.

        In Marcin Friday Night Mixed League play, the ladies’ noted scores were Denise Thomas 545 (209), Marnie McQueen 502 (202), Christine Mayberry 498 (185), Barb Montgomery 482 and Mary Hearns 462. The men’s main scores were Dave Urban 636 (239-208), Ray Lucas 535, Marcel Lajoie 534, Paul Heckley 526 (191), Jason Armitage 521 (208), Dave Little 206 and Ken Hearns 189.  Team standings are Bowlieve It Or Not 67, Ten Pin Wizards 61, Strike Club 57, Alley-Oops 54, Bowling Stones 53, Lane Rangers 52, Pick Up Artists 47, Split Personalities 43, Pairs & Spares 43 and Alley Masters 24.

        In Marcin National Farmers Union Mixed League activity, top scores belonged to Randy Raaymakers 570 (190-207) and Carol Slaughter 508 (173-192).
