The Alliance Hockey League
All Star Weekend held at the
Waterloo Memorial Recreation
Complex concluded with
several Lambton AAA players
contributing in the scoring.
One game was played in the
Bantam Division and brothers
Lucas and Jacob Knowles and
Joel Pavey of Lambton played
for Team West against Team
East. Team East won
the contest in a close 4 - 3
final. Lucas Knowles
scored two goals in the
first period for the Bantam
West team. Brother
Jacob shared the net and
made 12 saves on 14 shots.
The Minor Midget consisted
of 4 teams in a 8 game round
robin format.
The Alliance Hockey Minor Midget
AAA league graduates over
100 players annually to
Junior hockey (OHL
through to Jr. C) and the
All-Star game assists in
further showcasing the
talent that exists in the
Alliance Hockey Midget AAA
league.
Cameron Rannie, Josh
Barraclough, Nash Nienhuis
and Ben Schoch were Lambton
representatives.
Josh Barraclough and Ben
Schoch playing on Team Grey
earned the gold medal in the
6 - 5 win against Team Navy.
Barraclough led the group of
four scoring 1 goal and 2
assists. Nienhuis and
Rannie each earned a single
point with one assist.
In the Major Midget game
Team Navy defeated Team
White 3-1. All six Lambton Jr.
Sting AAA players
contributed in the win in
the single game format.
Dillon Saunders earned 2
points with a goal and an
assist. Jarrett Marks
earned 2 points with 2
assists. Christian
Lyle scored a power play
goal and single points were
earned by Brock Perry and
Alec Dekoning assisting on
goals.
The 6th player was netminder
Travis Moore who shared the
win with Zack Weir of the
London Jr. Knights.
