Former Sting Craig Hottot and Other New Additions Contribute in Petrolia Squires Win over Goderich

New additions to the line up contributed in the 9 - 2 win over the Goderich Piractes Friday night in WOAA Senior AA Men's Hockey League.

 

Earlier this week Petrolia Squires General Manager Kent Helps announced the addition of two former Sarnia Sting Players Craig Hottot and Kyle Flemington along with three former Sarnia Legionnaires Steve Farlow, Jeff Paulley and Kraig Wright.

 

The Squires scored 4 goals in the first, 3 in the second and 2 in the third. 
 

Norm Leger led the Squires with 2 goals and an assist. Craig Hottot and Tyler Cicchini also scored two goals and singles by Shawn Waldie, Justin Smith and Scott McPhail. 

 

Jeff Paulley, Kraig Wright, Don Vennema earned two assists and Breydan Belan, Jesse Drydak, Mitch Zavitz, Jeremiah Goodacre, Tyler Tobin, Jeff Gardner and Steve Farlow all earned single points.

 

The Squires outshot the Pirates 54 - 27. Squires netminder Chris Houle earned the win with 25 saves.  Dave Riddell took the loss made 45 saves.

 

Petrolia is now 9 - 8 - 0 - 3 for the season and are in 6th place in the standings race.  The Squires are back on the road Saturday to face the league leading Tillsonburg Thunder.   Next home game is on January 24 at 8:00 pm in Petrolia.
