2014 ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships® in Taipei City, Chinese Taipei.
After a 5th place finish in the short program the Canadian Pair Margaret Purdy and Michael Marinaro finished in 7th place in the free skate.
Wenjing Sui and Cong Han of China remained in first place, followed by three American Pairs; Alexa Scimeca and Chris Knierim , Tara Kayne and Daniel O’Shea and Haven Denney and Brandon Friazier. The second Canadian Pair to compete placed fifth place after finishing seventh in the short program and China's Wenting Wang and Yan Zhang who were placed sixth place.
Margaret Purdy, 19, from Strathroy, Ont. represents the Watford FSC and Michael Marinaro, 22, from Sarnia, Ont. represents the Point Edward SC, the pair previously placed eighth at two of their international assignments this season, Skate America and Skate Canada International. Purdy and Marinaro also placed fifth at the 2014 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships. They are coached by Scott Rachuk and Alison Purkiss at the Competitive Skating Centre of Strathroy.
