Petrolia Squires Fell to Komoka

The Petrolia Squires took a 7 - 3 loss Friday night in Petrolia against the Komoka Klassics in WOAA Senior AA hockey action.

 

Both sides were even with 3 apiece after the first period and the Klassics went on and scored two goals in the second and third periods.

 

Scoring for the Squires were Justin Smith and Jason McPhail each earned two points with a goal and one assist and Kraig Wright scored one.

Assisting on goals were Tyler Haddon, Craig Hottot, Chris Wilson and Jeremiah Goodacre.

 

The Klassics scored three power play goals two in the first and one in the third.  Alex Avery led Komoka with two goals (1PP), Kyle Smith scored a single (PP) along with Erik Stoyanovich, Drew Collinson, Andrew Carey (PP) and Ryan Stephenson.

 

Komoka outshot the Squires 40 - 38.  Chris Houle made 33 saves in the loss KJ Robinson earned the win with 35 saves.

 

Petrolia is in 6th place with a record of 10-10-0-3 for 23 points. The Squires have one game remaining in the regular season that is being played tonight (Saturday Jan 25) in Milverton against the 4WheelDrives who are just one point behind the Squires. (10-11-0-2)
