The Sarnia Spirit U16 team was in a very difficult group stage of the Ontario Cup playing against two top L1 teams in Burlington and North London. North London defeated the Spirit 4-1 as Kristy Hodgins scored the Spirit's lone goal. Against Oshawa, the Spirit came away with a 6-1 victory. Chloe Kennedy scored three times, with singles to Cassie Forte, Kristy Hodgins, and Rayne Kellier. The Spirit lost their final game to Burlington 3-0.

Their next league game is Wednesday, July 16th vs London Portugese Dragons FC @ 8.30 pm in London. The Spirit are battling for a league Championship in the Regional L3 League which would see them move up to the top L1 league next year.
