The Corunna Giants were in action Monday night at home in Western Counties U18 Midget baseball league action.
Jordan Pavey pitched a 2 hit shutout as Corunna defeated Dresden 9 – 0. He gave up a first inning double and an infield single in the third inning.
Pavey had a total of 9 strikeouts and only walked one.
Corunna scattered 8 hits over the 7 inning game. Keenan Smith had two hits for the winners and Mark McLachlin hit a solo home run in the bottom of the 6th inning over the right field fence.
Next up the Giants will host the Essex Majors from the Sun Parlour league at home at Courtright Park. Game time at 7:30 pm.
