Sarnia-Lambton Well Represented on Third Stop of Junior Tennis Tour

Sarnia-Lambton was very well represented at the third stop on the Little Caesars Junior Tennis Tour held in Sarnia at the Sarnia Riding Club on July 12th. Sarnia-Lambton players advanced to the finals in 4 of the 5 events and captured 4 titles. Sarnians Elise McInnis,  Andrew Davies and Ryan Davies captured the 18-and-under girls , 18-and-under boys and 10-and-under boys events, respectively and Mattias Mueller of Petrolia won the 14-and-under boys title. Madeleine Alexander of London captured the 14-and-under girls event.


A total of 43 juniors participated in the event with the full results as follows:




Championship:  Ryan Davies (Sarnia) defeated TJ Langlois (Amherstburg) 8-1
3rd Place: Zachary Injic (LaSalle) defeated JT Langlois (Amherstburg) 6-1
5th Place: Landon Fly (California) defeated Fredrik Lundquist (New York, New York) 4-3 (retired)

Championship: Mattias Mueller (Petrolia) defeated Riley Bore (Sarnia) 8-6
3rd Place: Jaxon Bore (Sarnia) defeated Tristan Haagsma (Sarnia) 6-3
5th Place: Ethan Jones (Sarnia) defeated Chandler Haagsma (Sarnia) 6-3

The Sarnia Stop on the Tour was generously sponsored by the Sarnia Riding Club, Tim Horton's (Murphy/Michigan) and Little Caesars. The 2014 Tour makes its final stop on July 27th in London (John Hatch Tennis Centre). All of the Little Caesars tournaments are one-day events, generally with boys and girls 14s and 18s singles events. Players earn points at each event towards an overall season championship.
