Sarnia Spirit U16 Suffer first League Loss

The Sarnia Spirit U16 Team lost their first league game of the season with a 1-0 loss to Waterloo A in WOYSL soccer league action.

Waterloo scored early and hung on with some clutch defending and goalkeeping. Sarnia had numerous opportunities to score goals but failed to convert. 

The team is now 5-1-2 for a total of 17 points and currently sit in 4th spot in a close standings race. Guelph Royal Blue and Southend United are tied for 1st with 19 points. The Spirit are 3 games back against Guelph and 1 game back against Southend.  The team will see action in London this Wednesday vs Southend United before heading to Ottawa for a college prospects tournament during the Civic Weekend.
