The Sarnia Spirit U16 team continues to win in WOYSL League action with a 3-0 victory versus the Stratford Strikers on Saturday at Veterans Field home of the Sarnia Spirit.
Kelly Hodgins, Kate Brady, and Raegan Hayter scored the Spirit goal's. Cassidy Edlington was in goal with the shutout.
The Spirit have played most of the season with key injuries. Chloe Kennedy and Kristy Hodgins are the latest. Both players are top scorers and they have been out for several games. Somehow the Spirit are finding ways to put the ball in the net.
In two weeks, (July 5 & 6) the Spirit are in Ontario Cup action at the Sarnia Girls Soccer Club. They are in a very tough group with games against the Burlington Bayhawks, Canada's National Champions (L1), the North London Galaxy (L1) , and the Oshawa Turul.
