The Sarnia Hockey Association is encouraging their members to attend the City Council Meeting on March 24 at 4:00 pm where City Council is to decide on the future of RBC rink #2 and Germain Arena.
Sarnia Hockey feels the closing of the arenas will have a huge impact on minor hockey in Sarnia and is asking that City Council give it a year before making their decision. "We need to see evidence that they have explored all possible options considering the finality of this decision. We have not seen this evidence to date." Sarnia Hockey Association Chairman Mike Johnson commented on Sarnia Hockey website.
Johnson encourages parents, members, coaches to attend the City Council meeting on March 24th and wear their team jerseys to send a message and to show their support.
